Subject: [CR]Holy Grail FOR Holy SALE!

Dear Listmembers,

Dave Feldman just mentioned one of his Holy Grail frames as being a Jim Merz touring frame. I just happen to have such an animal hanging in my g arage. It's not my size and I'm ready to sell the frame and fork.

The frame is 60cm c-t with a 58cm c-c top tube. The chainstays are 440mm long, the dropouts (rears are vertical) have two sets of eyelets. There are rack mounting braze ons as well. The frame is typical super clean l ongpoint lugs that are expertly filed and shaped. The frame may be light ly used; but the condition I got it in is just after a Joe Bell repaint (dated 5/6/86) in a light blue metallic Imron color, Merz decals on the DT, and the Merz round enameled headbadge. The paint is still at least 9 8% since all I can see is that there have been wheels clamped in the fro nt and rear dropouts. Nothing else other than very minor "garage wear" o f about 10 or 15 years. This biks is probably no newer than early 80's s ince the rear spacing is 120mm and there is only one set of W.B. braze o ns (on the DT). Definitely a sport or touring bike; I think an actual to uring model.

Anyway, she's for sale. Frame and fork as is (which is really nice and f or sure a low milage frame) for $1,000. This is a real Jim Merz frame an d probably pretty rare, all things considered. In this condition I'd say this bike is great for anyone to both collect and ride the heck out of. I don't think she's seen much action; and she's just begging for it. Go t the BUX? She's yours.
