Harris cyclery is a good shop to stop in, Belmont Wheel works can be a bit variable depending on who's around. They are a big shop that does LOTS of modern stuff, but they have Peter Mooneys frames , and some neat stuff on display.

For smaller shops, there's Paramount over in Medford, a small one man shop, and if he's busy he can be a bit curt. But generally pretty nice, and there's usually some interesting things there. If you've a lot of time leftover, there's the place I work for, "the bike stop" in Arlington. Very small, with a bit of vintage stuff. The new owner is into stingrays, but I'm trying to get him taught right about vintage road stuff. He's around weekends, I'm usually not. But if you've seen most of the other places, it could be fun. I think he opens around 10 or so but we're very seasonal, and it's worth a call first to be sure he's there.

Harry missed April Fool's by a little with this: "Checked the archives and could find nothing. Anyone know any good on topic type shops or attractions in Boston that are worth a visit? Frankly, i have trouble believing anything in Boston is worth a visit, but I gotta be there for a wedding this weekend..."

Start with Harris Cyclery in Newton, where the late much-missed Sheldon Brown held forth. Or if that's inconvenient, see some KOF beauties by Peter Mooney at Belmont Wheelworks, also home of living legend John Allis. And if he's back from wintering in New Orleans, Robert Celerier at Ace Wheelworks in Somerville, is amazingly knowledgeable about on-topic stuff.

Oy Vey!
