Subject: [CR]1970's Lejeune---Auction On eBay

Hi,

I'm new to CR, a member of another forum suggested I post my ongoing eBay auction here.

There's the link to item # 23036385903

I bought this bike in 1974 and rode it for awhile. Loved it. Five years later I got married, moved, had a kid, etc. and stored it in my air-conditioned basement. No time for riding. Well, it's time to start riding again but I'm a little older and require a different bike, something easier on the back and knees so here it is, a classic LeJeune, buy it and ride it today. People on a cycling forum said it's a Champ Du Mode model, comparable to a Peugeot PX-10.

Reynolds 531 frame and forks Stronglight 93 Crank Mafac Competition Brakes w/ Mafac Tool Kit Rigidia Alumn Rims--27 x 1.25 Christophe pedals and clips Pivo Handlebars Simplex derailluers

Current high bid is $225 as of Friday 4/4/08, 11pm. The auction ends Sunday the 6th of April, about noon Eastern Time.

Little to no rust, one paint chip and everything is original except the tires. Even the cable covers are perfect, no cracks. Put on a new front gumwall and tube, rode it the other day and it was fine. My local bike shop tightened the bottom bracket and pronounced it ready to go. It's a beauty and I hate to sell it. I could make more money by parting it out, but that offends me. A LeJeune frame and seat post went for $285 in an auction a month ago with scratched paint and chipped decals. My bike is as near to original condition as you could find. Shipping ($80) UPS ground to the US and the price includes being packed professionally by my local bike shop so it will arrive in perfect condition.

I don't belong to a photo sharing site but will email photos to anyone who is interested. I'll try to post some tomorrow.
