Greetings gang, A local NYC cyclist and buddy of mine, Scott Gordon, is organizing a ride h ere in Brooklyn this Sunday in honor of "The Hell of the North". To sum up, it's to be a roughly 30 mile ride through Brooklyn...covering so me of Brooklyn's old cobble-stone streets to honor The Queen of the Classic s. The ride will finish at local shop "Affinity Cycles" which happens to have couches, a projector and a CyclingTV.com account (delivering a live feed of Paris-Roubaix). There will be some on-topic steel of the road and fixed-gear variety. Forecast calls for rain...So expect muddy faces, wet stinky wool and skinne d knees...Just like the real thing! Scott's invite is below. Thanks to all of the stars and watercarriers who made it out to the BVVW mo vie night last night. Lotsa fun!

"Brooklyn Pave Ride Sunday, April 13th Meeting at Grand Army Plaza Rollout at 9:30 am Pace: mediumish
Once a rite of Spring, we're resurrecting Brooklyn's homage to a ride so utterly dripping with machismo it could only be called the "Queen of the Classics", Paris-Roubaix.
Course will be as brutal as the pace will be friendly.
So, strap on your hairnet and Brooklyn Bubblegum jersey. Top your water bottle with Duvel. Practice your Flemmish, check all your fillings, most importantly,
PRAY FOR RAIN!
Ride immediately followed by a viewing of the final hour+ of the "real" Paris-Roubiax, LIVE, generously hosted by Affinity Cycles at 616 Grand STREET in Williamsburg.
