..and just so that Mitch's recounting of an "OFF LIST" report to him does not come across as merely some blind assertion on my part, I offer for your consideration the following:

..and...

With respect to Hilary's contention that both SunTour and Zeus manufactured a seven speed freewheel within the CR List timeline, he would be absolutely correct.

The full color forty page SunTour catalog published in October 1977 makes no reference to such an offering (...I do happen to have a very nice spare copy of this fine catalog should anyone be interested in its purchase for the sum of $50.00 USD to include domestic shipping - please contact me "OFF LIST"). However, the August 1978 SunTour dealer brochure specifically includes both a color picture and technical description of their New Winner model NW-7000 seven speed ultra spaced freewheel.

And while it may have been absent Zeus catalog 103 published in 1977, the Zeus 2000 Super Earlumin II model 29000 seven speed freewheel most assuredly does appear on page 31 of their catalog 104 from 1980.

Unfortunately, I have not yet had the opportunity to digitize and post to WoolJersey any of those particular pieces of literature referenced above as of this point in time (...remember, patience is a virtue).

And R.S. Broderick reported that Regina offered a 7 sp freewheel in

1978 and Maillard in 1980.
