I inquired with the list a few weeks ago regarding any & all info on the 1952 Wilier Triestina I recently purchased especially regarding the original finish. The bike has been repainted in the late 70's. After stripping all of the parts from the frame I can see no signs of copper plating. So, I am wondering if anyone knows what an original finish for this bike would be. It appears it was painted black with red highlights. Does color even matter in regards to value as it has already been repainted once? I am a beginner in the world of vintage lightweights & would like to do this right. Also, can anyone suggest a proper rim for this bike. Thanks in advance, and thanks again for the pics charles.
