Subject: [CR]Wilier vs. Triestina

I'm not going to weigh in on the relative merits of this guy's bike, but I do want to make sure i understand the whole "Wilier Triestina" name correctly, since I own one.

I think the company is Wilier, and they are/were located near Trieste, hence "Triestina", correct?

Sort of like "Gios Torino"?

So calling these bikes "Triestinas" is like referring to a Gios as a "Torino"... kind of not right, right?

Kurt, were there non-Triestina Wiliers?

Now, what's the best way to scrape the chromovelato finish off mine so i can powdercoat it? (j/k).

That Wilier pista...<snip> I'm not sure that's a Triestina though.
