Hi all... I was lucky enough to pick up a new Ti Swallow for a very reasonable price.

As I was looking for the saddle, I spent some time looking on the net, at the vast number treatments technices, goos and salves, that folks have used to leather saddles over the years...

After my research, I decided to go with good ol' Proofide... I'd never used it before, and as soon as I opened it up, I was suprised that it didn't have the; leathery, dark wood, brandy and cigars, smell of a library on an old english estate... Smelled like old McDonalds french fries...**

How here comes the usefull bit... Some of the folks on the web talked about putting the saddle in the oven... After using the stuff I get it... Melt the Proofide...DUH

I changed it a bit and used a hair dryer... Worked great...The advangage is as it melts you can blow it deep under the cantle plate and nose piece...
