Curious about the origin of this bar I have.

A Nitto "OLYMPIADE" (model 114). This has on older logoand also an early engraving with the name superimposed over a globe and with a clear outline of Japan. Here is a photo:

There was a summer Olympics in Tokyo in 1964... so I would be tempted to think the design was a commemorative issue promoting that event. But surely this bar could not have dated that early... or could it have? It has a traditional Maes bend and the stem bulge is 25.4 mm. Width is only around 37 cm. (c-c)

A fairly similar bar (designated model 115) is still produced today with newer graphics but not as narrow.

Any thoughts?
