Jay,

Are you talking about doing lug lining? The problem with using normal paints is that they are not intense enough to give full coverage when doing lug lining. The pigments are too thin. One option is House of Kolor striping paint that comes in small cans. This is what your glamour motorcycle painters use. You buy this at specialty automotive paint supply stores. Mind you this is not a small quantity like hobby paints (Testors). I think it is a pint. You can try those (hobby paints) and see if it will cover enough without needing to apply two coats.

What method were you going to use to apply the paint? These are trade secrets.
