Subject: [CR]2nd try: info on aerodynamic Rauler needed!

Listers, I'm disappointed! A couple of days ago I posted about my most recent find, asked for any additional info on this 1985 Rauler Profil Sistem, no replies ....

So, here's a second attempt and, cause I'm lazy, I'll just paste the original text here ..

*Another trip to Belgium left me with this 1985 (my guess, rear mech is 1984) Rauler, with an aerodynamic personality. I'm not at all familiar with Rauler, just that it comes up in discussions on the list regularly, and of course I've read some of the many posts about the brand. And Mark Poore seems to be the resident Rauler expert!* * * *So, lets have a look at this one: gently tweaked tubing (f.i., the toptube is slightly teardrop shaped, the seatstays have a sharper rear end than the oval front end), etc. Its very difficult to capture the shape of the tubes in the photographs, more so because of the baby blue-white fade paint. Its a 58 c-c sized frame, the toptube however is very short at c. 55.5 cm. Angles seem pretty steep, wheelbase is pretty usual at c. 99 cm. I thought it would fit me, but I might need a longer stem than the 125 thats in there now.* *Of course the hideous bartape will have to go ASAP, and I'll probably replace the brakes/levers and the chainset with Super Record parts. Other than that, this is as good as it gets. Paint is in very good condition, the bike has not been used much. And yes, the decals are just stuck on, no clearcoat, but fortunately they're still there, just hanging on.* * * *Any comments about this one are very welcome!* * * *Pics in my wooljersey album: ** http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Freeks-racefietsen/Rauler+1985/*<http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Freeks-racefietsen/Rauler+1985/>
