Nice photo. But I thought the original question was what length cranks were used on bikes he raced in track events like Madisons and Match Sprints. Did I miss the answer to that question?

Using longer cranks for the Hour records would not be surprising. First, it's "merely" a time trial, raced at a constant high speed. And he was always down on the track's measurement line. Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
