Although the site is basically Rene Herse orientated, I'm trying to slowly add nice examples of the many other French makers who produced wonderful bikes during the Golden Age.
This week I've found the time to photograph, rework the photos, upload to the site a pretty nice example of a 50s Routens. The early Hugonnier Routens are maybe the nicest of these bikes, but some of the early Jo Routens bikes can be lovely too, as this example shows.
And very important for me and for anyone who wants to use the site for reference, it's all original (one incorrect hub).
Take the time to check out the detail photos by clicking on the thumbnails : there are some really nice frame construction details (just one exampe : the delta reinforcements of BB), and top of the range parts (lovely chainwheel)
