I had a question about this auction:
I looked covetously at this auction, thinking I could get some decent tires cheap.
As the price climbed upwards, I began to re-consider. I looked closely at the pictures of the tires, and decided that they were really not much different from the "Servizio Corse" tires YellowJersey sells for under 20 bucks apiece. Likely made in the same Thai factory these vittorias were made in. And they're 10 years old. Not a huge deal-breaker, but a consideration, even NOS.
The winner of the tires is an experienced ebayer, so I assume he or she felt this was a good deal. If one were to re-sell them at 50 or 60 bucks a pair, you could just about double your money (assuming you could get that much per pair)..so for a re-seller, maybe a decent deal, aside from the hassle of moving them pair by pair.
But for someone who would have actually used them...I ask the list: was it a good deal?
