Hi Mitch,

sorry to all to becoming totally off topic for a moment.

Even the top of the line Shimanos walks well. Have one pair in the winter that is warm enough for a little tour on snowy days and I have a pair of sandals too in the summer. I use SPD always, even on old bikes, only exception is a 1980 DA EX equipped one with DynaDrive Crank and the Smooth Hound.

For pictures or meetings, attaching nice old pedals just needs a minute.

As somebody mentioned the Berthet pedals- would not recommend them. They are slippery and dangerous in my opinion especially when used with sneakers or leather soles. I slipped out on several occasions when it rained. Looks nice but doesn't work well.

best regards, Richard
