Tom Sanders asked about the ICS front derailleur. The front derailleur has a device that prevents chain throw to the inside on downshifts to the small chainring. The large chainring has chain guards spaced coincident with the spider arms to do the same thing to prevent chain throw to the outside. I've ridden both and haven't thrown a chain, but then, while not impossible, a properly adjusted derailleur with good shift technique should also eliminate chain throw. I currently have an ICS front derailleur on one of my bikes and it works great. I suspect this group has a very high reserve. The seller has other nice items for sale too. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL USA
