I've had good luck using Kroil in conjunction with a hairdryer to loosen rusted and stubborn parts. Soak the part with Kroil- overnight is good. Then get moms hairdryer and heat the thing up until its too hot to touch. Put a wrench or visegrip (depends on where you are in your level of frustration) and remove. It may take afew attempts. I like the hairdryer because it produces enough heat to get the job done, but wont discolor or set your garage on fire.
