Hello, I spotted this on 1971 Paramount on the Bay Area Craigslist, and tho ught it would make a wonderful addition to a Paramount collection by any of our list members. It's tall, but that makes it all the more rare.

I do wonder if it came from Chicago or Waterford, but first lets get it to a CR list member, see that it's safe, and then worry about that detail.

extra tall unbelieveably rare classic vintage 66cm c-t Paramount road rac er converted to fast tourer. Chromed Campy road race dropouts and chrome st ays without eyelets for fenders, all tubes Reynolds 531 double butted, Nerv ex "King Arthur supreme" fancy cut professional lugs, Campy low flange hubs for an even smoother, more pleasing ride for us mature riders. Continental German tires. Cinelli neck and bars, Bridgestone self centering front calip er, All Campagnolo brakes otherwise. Bike was professionally painted midnig ht metalflek blue, a few scratches since repaint. Bike is arrow straight an d rides like a dream, the Reynolds 531 double butted and Nervex professiona l lugs coupled to the low-flange Campagnolo hubs make for a buttery smooth fast ride. This Paramount was hand made in the Paramount cage of the Chicag o factory, a decade before the opening of the Waterford plant. Vintage Para mounts like this go from $500. for a total beater to about $3500. for a che rry, this one is quite far from being a beater. Tubular rims were replaced with more practical 700c clinchers, pump mount and water bottle mounts and top-tube cable guides were professionally brazed on before the repaint. As were the downtube shifter mounts.
