The bikes Jerry is referring to and purchasing (Superior, Sports Tourer, Super Sport)?were indeed hand fillet-brazed, not electro-flash welded like the Varsity and Continental models. I believe Jerry posted the relevant link earlier, but here it is again:

The drop outs don't look like electro-forged ones though, was there a price point above which the frames were filet brazed?

Are these "fillet-brazed" Schwinns fillet-brazed same as the Varsity models were...? I recall reading somewheres that in truth the method of construction was not actually fillet-brazing but rather some automated brazing process what produced a joining that looked like fillet-brazing.
