Subject: [CR]Cirque for me/Auction

Dear List, As I recover from my Cirque induced stupor (this year egged on by a bout of heat stroke from Friday's ride), the memories are starting to flow. Some high lights: -Jane and her white "clutch" bag at the banquet. - A great conversation with a couple a wanna be ex-patriots, on their way to France. Youse know who youse are! -Seeing Mark Poore. Mark, just do it. -Riding that dang Motobecane of Peter's in the parking lot. My people's choice. The smell of the honey suckle and the fingernail Moon; just sublime! -Eddie Albert's blowout just to my right. "John, I'm getting a flaaa..." BOOM! Cool! -Juggling a couple a inebriated guys at the Auction; tough. - THE AUCTION: Final #'s ain't in just yet, but it looks like it should be between $12,000 and $12,500. I don't know how, but we did it. We _ _ _ _'n did it! The generosity of this group is nothing short of amazing. Thank you to each and every one of you. My chief helpers, Gabriel and Rita Romeu inform me that about 70% of the donors give 100%. That's INCREDIBLE! Thanks to Gabriel, Rita, Mattie Bowne, James the D.J. man, Jamie Swan, Mikie Schmidt, and all the folks who I'm forgetting. I have no hope of doing this stuff alone; youse guys make it all possible. BIG thanks to Wayne and M.J.; you give us so much time, open your home and all we have to do is enjoy. That's Love baby. Once the final tally is in ( I hope to have all the #'s straightened out by the end of the week), I post the exact amounts. As it stands, The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation should see $3,000.00 and Operation Smile $9,000.00. GOOD STUFF! I will eventually post to the wooljersey site receipt letters.

Tired, relax, bed, thank you,
