Interesting how the bike in Nick's picture looks so similar to the Moto

I "played" with the Moto quite a bit before I brought it to Leesburg, but tried to retain a lot of the original finish and character. One day I will post a before, and after photo of the "restoration".
I bought the bike from list member Harvey Sachs about 5 years ago,, when no one seemed to have interest in this style of machine. The bike seemed to be pretty popular with the group last week.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In turn, I bought the Motobecane from Chad Kayser, the manager at College Park Bicycles in Maryland. Chad, a really neat guy himself, was downsizing his collection when he moved to upstate New York.* I wanted the bike for its Beborex brakes, but couldn't see parting it out. Peter is the one who saw the beauty in the bike, and did a fantastic job of releasing the inner Moto from the downtrodden relic I sold him.

They broke into stores, including College Park Bikes, and stole a bunch of stuff. As I recall it, Chad was hit over the head with a 2x4 while trying to protect the store.
