Hi Gang, Charlie Young sent this "gas-pipe" Falcon-built Merckx home with me from Ci rque this past weekend. Feeling greatly inspired by the townie/city bikes that I saw in Leesburg, I came home and built up my ideal fixed-gear town bike, complete with a bask et and fenders. With the exception of the wheelset (which will be replaced shortly by a "bu dget" set), I so far have about $40 and 4 hours invested into this bike...N ot bad! And I once again have the CR community to thank for parts and inspiration.
