979 is ca '87. However if you were really a weight weeny with unlimited funds you would probably have opted for a Vitus plus carbone with 7 carbon tubes. So I would aim at a more reasonable set of parts and I think many options mentioned are to early. After all this is a bike which will be correct with DA index shifting, Look pedals, Michelin Hi-lites and an Avocet computer! I think it would look good with a Victory or Triomphe set
