Pauls Centerpull brake pivots are standard thread in canti bosses repurposed for his ctr pull design. Personally I think a U brake pivot would be better (smaller dia, lower profile,) but he's been building canti and V brakes for years now and has a lot of tooling based around canti studs so it makes sense from that perspective. So to clarify and bring this kinda back on topic, MAFAC centerpull brakes are not compatible with Pauls modern counterparts. Totally different pivot dimensions and placement.
