Subject: [CR]Motobecane Trophy - information wanted

Fellow Listmembers, Two Weeks ago I spotted a probably late 60ies early 70ies Motobecane at the Bakery on the other side of the street were my office is. I managed to talk to owner, telling him what a nice bike he has and that he should never give it away, I even provided him with a set of gum hoods which i had lying around fitting his bare brake levers. Today he showed up, giving me the the bike for a rather symbolic price......seems like bikes just find their way to my stable. The bike is a black Moto Trophy with a red headtube and gold old style decals. It is equipped with Stronglight cranks, Shimano Titlist shift gruppo, Dia Compe Gran Compe Brakes, Pivo stem and bars, Maillard Atom hubs, marked 75 laced to Record tubular rims, Atom 700 pedals, Huret top tube brake cable clips. The saddle is some worn out plastic selle Italia which is obviously not original to the bike. Serial number is 3275501 and 601 underneath. Frame has nice "half wrap" seat stays and a french Reynold 532 tubing sticker. Can anybody here provide me with some more information on this model and ist' original equipment. It intend not to change it, i suspect The Shimano parts being original to the bike.

Regards

Thanks to John Betmanis I now know I did miss this pedal on the Speedplay site. Its the *Suntour GPX Model PL-GP00 1989 . Much younger than I thought it was. Sorry for posing a question for which i could have found the answer myself ...*
