Subject: [CR]WTB Schwinn-Approved Barcons

Trying to progress my current fillet-brazed Schwinn project. The 1973 Sports Tourer has been disassembed, washed, waxed, treated with Weigle's Framesaver, paint touched up, wheels retensioned, and new Pasela 27 1 1/4 tires fitted. Ready to begin reassembling. The 1972 Super Sport is stiill awaiting disassembly. Both bikes have the Schwinn stem shifters, but the catalogs indicate that barcons would have been an option on each. These would have been Suntour-made Schwinn-Approved barcons with gray plastic hoods, rather than the Suntour-badged version with black hoods.

I'd prefer to use barcons, and it would be nice to have the correct Schwinn-Approved type. Anyone have a set of the Schwinn-Approved barcons for sale? Good used preferred, but I'd consider NOS. I would like to have the gray hoods intact.
