Folks,

I have to thank sympathetic listmember John Wilson for supplying me with the blue tape that I need.

However, I have wondered if one could use certain cotton twill binding tape used for sewing - these come in a number of different thicknesses, widths, weights and weaves. Most of them come in natural, white or black but can easily be dyed. They come in rolls of several metres in length - often offered on ebay! Has anyone tried these? I seem to recall a discussion about this in the past either on this list or on the IBob list.

Might give endless possibilities! What happened to the nice Japanese tape that was available at one time on the Riv site or Lickbike I believe?

Also Velo-orange has a range of colours of Tressostar available.

Cheers,.

Paul Williams, [BTW I am still looking for suitable pedals for a 1949 bike, 18T freewheel, and bag support PLEASE]
