Subject: [CR] Offered to List: Mavic Monthlery Pro/Record 36 spoke tubular front wheel

Hello list, Wheel is in decent shape, needs to be polished if you like, but the Record hub rolls very smoothly and the rim is within one or two millimeters of true. I just put it on the stand to check it out, I did not actually try to true it, so it can probably come out close to perfect if you work with it a little. Curved skewer included. Red label is worn, but I could figure out this was a Monthlery Pro rim. A sturdy, eyeletted rim--lots of life left in this wheel. A tire is mounted on it and holding air OK, but I will readily admit I'm one of those guys who never learned how to do tubulars (yes I have heard what I'm missing as far as the ride goes) so I can't really vouch for the tire one way or another, other than no obvious sidewall problems just yet.

Price is $40 PLUS actual shipping--prefer to ship in the continental US.

I also have a a mismatched rear wheel that came on the same bike, a total charity case. Will send with the front wheel if you want, or to somebody else for only the price of shipping. Ambrosio tubular rim, not sure of model, out of true, some rusty spokes, laced to what appears to be a Campy Gran Sport hub, Miche skewer, and a 14-18 Regina Extra freewheel that somebody has already busted the slots trying to remove (not me, I already learned that lesson). One of you probably has the tools, knowledge, and patience to remove the freewheel and rescue the hub, anyway. It ought to be rebuilt, it is not as smooth as it should be. Please somebody take this.

Contact me off list, and thanks.
