Two sources for chainstay protectors

1. Your local autoparts store has adhesive metal foils, often they are 2" in width. Buy some of these foils and cut them to size. A large store (PEP boys in our area) will have gold and silver foils.

When restoring bikes, it helps to know you biggest local autoparts store: spray paints, clear coats, 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper, rubbing compound, waxes, M5 and M6 nyloc nuts, etc.

2. A good source for clear decals for preservation is victory circle graphix in colorado. They offer two products

(1) Crankset protection:

(2a) Head-tube protection (Barcon shifter cables) (b) Chainstay protection, and more :

Please tell 'AJ' that Don Gillies sent you (he did me a nice favor by making some Carlton decals for me a while ago, and I owe him) !!
