Subject: [CR]SAN DIEGO VINTAGE RIDE Second Notice.

We are havin' a vintage ride on Sunday. Short notice, but should be fun. We're invading the San Diego turf this Sunday.

Sorry for the short notice, best we could do.

Our pal Jack Bissell is in San Diego this weekend.. If you haven't met Jack, he's a great guy, and master of a very cool cycling website, http://www.43bikes.com

So, here's the ride with Jack, Carmen, and me. We meet at Balboa Park in San Diego at 9:30am. Roll out between 10 and 10:15 am. This is the usual Point Loma route. We'll eat lunch at Anthony's at the Harbor.

For those of you who have never done this ride, it is VERY nice, and well worth the trip South. Quite varied scenery, from downtown to river bike-path to some nice old neighborhoods to ocean. A couple of mild hills, a couple of thrilling downhills. A 25 mile loop from the Park to Point Loma and back through the Harbor to Downtown.

We park and gather in front of the San Diego Automotive museum in Balboa Park. This is also the parking lot for the Air and Space museum. If there is a special event that prohibits parking in front of the Museums, we meet across Park Blvd (East side of Park Blvd.) at Presidential Way in front of the Old navy Veterans Hospital.

See map here: http://www.balboapark.org/maps/ or

For those of you who have done this ride, you know where to go.

RSVP would be nice, but not mandatory. Bring any bike you want...extra points for pre-Ergo.

San Diegans! Pass the word.

Jack would love to see all his Cali friends Sunday, so come if you can...

See you this Sunday!
