FWIW, Sky Yaeger is very aware of classic bicycle design, and was the driving force behind some very cool bikes at Bianchi USA (which informed much of Bianchi Italy's offering) over the last few years. She's since left Bianchi, but I'm sure this bike bears her imprint.

BTW Bicycle companies engage in pure marketing. That's how they sell bikes. Impure marketing is often less effective, and no marketing leads to bankruptcy. Bianchi (and their parent company) is a big company that needs to sell lots of bikes to stay afloat.

I'm going to pay attention to this bike. It's pretty neat. I'd ride one.
