Hi all,

I'll try this post again, after the last version of it came out almost unreadable...it doesn't seem to like me sending from webmail.

A battered and abused Legnano followed me home, and I'd appreciate any hints on ID and age: Serial # FT2801

http://picasaweb.google.com/MarkABattley/Legnano

In addition to being painted black (including the headset), and no longer having its original fork (shame), it's a random mix of components from a Campagnolo Gran Sport front hub through to a Shimano Tourney rear brake, with various era Suntour and Simplex thrown in to add to the confusion...

Campagnolo parts include: -Crankset: Record 151 BCD, 57/48 chainrings, no lips at pedals, so 1962-1966?? -Shift levers: "closed C", although has a funky extra clip at the base of the RH lever?? (http://picasaweb.google.com/MarkABattley/Legnano/photo#5230380462368844578) -Headset(?) -Front hub: 3 piece Gran Sport(?) high flange 32 spoke

Otherwise, and of limited dating help, it has: -Suntour FD -Simplex RD -Shimano brake levers -Mis-matched 27" alloy clinchers -Unknown ID steel double sided rear hub, 40 spoke, has "Whitedak" (or similar) hand scratched into shell -ALPS alloy stem, steel handlebars(?) -Classy foam handle bar grip....

Is early 60s to fit with the crankset plausible?

Thanks,
