"Porta catena" = chain carrier. Used in conjunction with an alloy chainrest affixed to the specially drilled Campagnolo dropout. Release the catch that acts as a detent preventing inadvertent shifting off of the smallest cog, pust the lever all of the way down and the chain is placed on the chain rest in the interest of allowing an easier wheel change (and less grimy fingers). Pretty much a solution in search of a problem that wasn't widely adopted.

Apparently requires a bit wider spacing to accommodate a 6-spd block and the rest. I've yet to fit mine to a Holdsworth Professional that has those dropouts. One of these days.
