Rodney's post brought back a flood of memories, all wonderful, since we were at that Rally (although I don't remember the particular bike. There were probably 70 superb tandems there).

Without doing any comparisions with others, all the work I've ever seen by Moseman is absolutely first class. I'm more familiar with his lugless tandems (triplets, too), and the work just flows, with lots of lovely, elegant touches that make the bike easy to live with as well as a visual delight. Incredibly well thought-out. I do have experience with Rodney's "Martin Seynour Nitram" paint, since he painted a Town & Country tandem with it for us. Looked great, and we NEVER had a problem with anything. This indicates superb, meticulous, frame prep.

If it fits (what size is it, Rodney?), this would be a keeper. Alas, we are down to one tandem now, and it is low on Beloved Spouse's priority list. But you should see the take-apart tandems he's done for himself recently!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In 1982 I had started a five part article for the Tandem Club of America magazine, Doubletalk. The article was a how to build a tandem frame. For the build I used Haden tandem bottom bracket lugs. The complete frame was the only lugged frame that I had built. The tandem was showed at the 1983 Eastern Tandem Rally in Cape Ann, MA. The following spring the tandem was purchased locally and I had lost contact with the buyer. Last week i received a telephone call from wife the original owner. She had asked if i remembered the tandem and if I would help her sell it. Now in their eighties they had not ridden the tandem in the past four or five years and her husband had suffered a series of strokes and no longer could ride bicycle because of balance problems. I went to visit them and look at the tandem. It is as nice as when I had sold it. I could not believe the condition of the metallic light blue Martin Seynour Nitram paint. The tandem is all original with the exception of the tires. I now have the tandem and have dusted it off and would like to sell it for them. I have set a price of $800.00 as a fair asking price for a tandem in this original condition. I also have a xerox copy of all five of the articles and the angle jig that is featured in the article that will be included.

The frame and fork are a combination of Reynolds and chrome moly tubing. The fork blades are over size Reynolds Jack Taylor style with a Haden crown. It is also equipped with Phil Wood hubs and bottom brackets. Super Champion 48 hole rims, DT spokes and a third rear Phil Wood disc brake. The cantilever brakes are Shimano actuated with Mafac dual control levers. The crank set is cross over drive Sugino AT triple. The derailleurs are Shimano Deore stag head logo and Suntour bar end shifters. There are a pair of Cat Eye solar computers, Blackburn rear rack and Berek battery tail light also

I can supply photos and complete component list on request. I would prefer local pickup bur will ship if you are willing to absorb the shipping cost.
