All Grand Bois are folding bead, no? If there was a problem with blowing off wire bead Paselas, I'd think any folding tire would be worse. Two other wire bead classic looking tires are the IRC Road Winner and various Continental clinchers. The Continentals are available with the brown rather than tan sidewall, but that is the traditional color for them. The IRC's have tan sidewalls, but there have been supply problems of late with IRC, who evidently shut down one of their factories in Thailand or China. It wasn't said what pressure the Paselas were blowing off at. Perhaps that is the problem. 90 psi should be more than adequate pressure for a 28mm tire.

The Grand Bois tires from a previous series fit very tight. The latest ones have a more "normal" fit, but definitely not loose. We may have some of the older ones left in 28 and 30 mm. As far as classic looks, photos are here (click on thumbnails for high res.)
