I've ridden both pro 5 and pro 3 as a track setup and enjoyed both without issue. I will say though, that the pro 5 have a do have bit more flex due to the BCD, but if this is an around town sorta' bike you shouldn't have any issues. It's my understanding though, that this is why TA introduced the Pro 3 attaches Pista (but I could be wrong).

Either way it's negligible, however, I would suggest getting a proper track width chainring (stamped with a "3").
