Subject: [CR]Looking for reynolds 531 art ??

1. First objective

http://www.flickr.com/photos/rickrise/2683477870/sizes/o/in/set-72157606261610603/

Can someone please send me a link to some good close-up pictures or scans of this decal ?? If you are taking photos for the first time, try to take it from 25" away or more, on maximum zoom, and take it perpendicular to the seat tube (often from just above the top-tube.

Does anyone have a NOS decal that they could scan (300 dpi) and send a copy to me ?? If no scanner, i could put down a deposit, you send me the decal, and i return it for the deposit.

I am also wondering about the original color of the '531' in this series of decals (please, anyone who remembers the 1960's ??) Every decal I've seen has a 531 color that could be called 'off-white' or 'tainted white'. Has this faded from the traditional 531 luminous bright green, or did this era of decal really and truly have a light-light-blue color on it originally?

2. Second Objective

Does someone have a scan of an actual 'butted main tubes' decal ?? The transfer paper cover is actually better for scanning than an actual decal, as the gold tends to reflect light sideways on the scanner and grow larger during the scanning process.

=========

please don't suggest the CR website, about half of those decals are obvious fakes. The Reynolds 531 trademark became a (R)egistered trademark in 1975, which is when ALL the decals had a gold band at the bottom saying, 'Reynolds Tube Co. Birmingham England'. If you see a decal with an (R) and without a gold band at the bottom, it's an obvious fake.
