Greetings, Having heard several List Members talk about this Site and lurking for several days, I have decided it is time to join. It's been a relearning Crash Course for me over the past months. I look forward to the benefits of this List and its Members.

An introduction: Jay Dubiel Age: 56 Halifax, VA USA

After many years of wearing out 4 Bridgestones on my Car I decided to see what would happen to a pair of Tufo's on my College bike. It had been sitting, catching dust, in the garage. Look what has happened in less than a year. A tune-up and wash has turned into just boxes in the Garage and 5 bikes in the house.

Within the household are:

1972 GITANE Tour de France (TdF), 58cm c-c, all 531 in Match Blue. All original (excellent). Soon after purchase Stem and Handlebar upgrade, recent Ideale saddle but retained original parts. One owner, self. I bought this new. My College transportation.

!971-73 GITANE TdF, 58cm c-c, all 531 in White. Original frame set (very good) and some components. Recently purchased (I went to buy a $20. part and came home with this too). A project with planned, Period correct, modifications.

1974-75 GITANE Interclub, 58cm c-c, in media blasted steel with 2 coats of primer. Original frame set. A project with a different twist.

1976 GITANE 'Super' TdF, 58cm c-c, all 531 in Champion Blue. Recently purchased. All original (very good -excellent) as spec'd with the exception of the wheelset (Period correct and may have come on the bike). Seller kept the original Zefal H.P. frame pump. If someone has one they care to part with, I'm interested!

1984 UNIVEGA Sportour, 58cm c-c, in Charcoal Metallic. Recent CL score. All original (excellent) with some spiced up Red modifications that I added. (neighborhood rider)

2001 GREYHOUND 'Shiraz', 72cm stand over, One of a kind (exceptional) in Blue Brindle. Rescue, adopted 3 years ago.

I'm in the process of setting up a PhotoBucket Album and will post photos in the future.

I am not obsessed with Gitanes, they just happened to present themselves at the time I started my renewed interest in cycling.
