A few years ago a couple of my CR friends were contemplating doing just that, but it never came to pass. One can easily find on the web a number of rubber parts manufacturers...if somebody wanted to take the lead on this.

John Wilson answers: There is a small company in Pittsburgh that makes rubber gaskets for some of my work applications. They are very good to work with and if someone would send me a scan of one of these?with dimensions, I would be happy to get a quote. From my experience, the major cost is the setup. For example, one BUNA-N gasket we got about a year ago was quoted at $40 for a pair or $40 for 100. So we bought 100. Any idea of thickness and type of material?
