Should be fine. I've been using SRAM 8-speed chains on my Ultra-6 freewheels with good results. The one caveat is that these are somewhat narrower than vintage chains, and older front derailleurs seem to have a problem with this. E.g. my mid-70s vintage Cyclone front der needed to be narrowed somewhat (plier squeeze) to shift properly with the SRAM chain.
