Hi Garth, I used to use clear model airplane dope on my cloth bar tape. Works great. And the the fumes make you happy. (Just while you're applying it, not while you ride.)
I'm no longer a doper, I use Benotto silver or white "Tresse de Guidon" (professionnelle) tape on my track bikes now.
