could be the locale- I think I can count 3 or 4 in the past year that did not return a greeting in an area that boasts many riders, I see at least a couple every day on my route. Of course, New Jersey is known for the warm, friendly and personable folk living here.... the interesting thing to me is that I also acknowledge the bikers (we all have a road sensibility)- seem to get an almost 100 percent response from the Harley people, very few from the Asian bike crowd in the matching outfits...not sure why (nor am interested in pondering the reason...)
