I suspect this bike will go for around 10 grand. For that amount of money I'd like a little more "chatting up" in the bargain.

Original paint found in the De Rosa factory from that time? It's possible of course, but who keeps that original paint (not original color) laying around for 50 years? Would the paint still be any good? How was it located and shipped? At what cost?

Filet around the top of the lugs? Was this the accepted practice at the time? What does it do? Any other houses known to use this technique?

Letters from De Rosa in Italianish English? Can we see the originals of those emails or letters?

Photos of the original condition of the bike before restoration? Come on --- one photo at the minimum>

Where was the bike found? Who owned it? A little ownership history please.

We all are (including Mr. Denny) classic bike enthusiasts. Don't we by nature love to talk about our finds and restorations in detail? Even if we are not the ones to place the winning bid ... in a real sense, this bike belongs to all of us. Let's all agree to share the details about this monumental find - please.
