Jon Spangler Writer/Editor Dear Burl and all,

If anyone just waved their fingers from the drops at me from across the road, I probably would never know that they had waved at me.

I just smile and ring my bell, which is positioned so I can ring it and keep both hands on the bars. I also smile and ring my bell when I see little kids out on bikes, on tricycles (not racing, usually :-), or in strollers, unless they are asleep. The kids love it, and parents seem to as well. Spread a little sunshine...

Waving from the West Coast,

Jon Spangler in Alameda, California USA, where it is almost tomorrow

the way to wave is by not taking either hand off of the bars, just lift your four fingers from either hand; see the movie "2 seconds" for reference. burl simon in los angeles california who will be riding my spectrum on sat. and my della santa on sunday and monday.
