With the emphasis on Rene Herses, prestigious racers and whatnot, a load of the better bikes that were maketted as "boy racers" or demi-course (essent ially cheaper frames dresed up as real racers but with guards and lights wh ich got immediately removed), are unrecognized as the ontopic machines they are. Indeed, I've been missing a decent demi-course in my stable, and I do n't see a proper collection without one of these bikes which most of us old er geezers grew up riding. Only very rich kids or juvenile delinquents rode the outrageously priced stuff when we were young, and many demi-courses we re only a kg off in terms of weight compared to the holy cows, and better i n ride quality.
