Was curious about the same thing, so posted nearly the exact question on the Gitane forums about three or four days ago.

Apparently "Musi" was a pro shop in Paris.

So my guess is these were either team frames for the shop or rebadged for sales at the shop. I was watching the Cyclocross one as well in hopes of building it up as a tourer, until someone gifted me an XO-4 frame.
