i've read somewhere, (classic lightweights?) that there were two sizes of standard ie. not oversize Chater Lea bottom brackets. one had 1/4" balls the other, earlier, had 5/16". i have an unused, prewar -i think, Chater Lea chainset (concealed third bolt, double fluted). it came with an unused spindle but no cups. the spindle is marked 1007. which cups do i require?
and, does anyone have a set in excellent or unused condition they would care to sell me.
