Subject: [CR]Interesting Peugeot on French Ebay

 There's an interesting 1950s/60s Peugeot - looks like a PX10, on French Ebay - Item No 110286168968.

The seller claims that the bike used to belong to the former pro, Eugene Le tendre, and that it is the VERY BIKE that Eugene lent to Jean Robic to ride a Grand Prix des Gentilhommes type of race. It turned out to be Robic's la st race as, on his way home he was killed in a traffic accident.

Letendre and Robic were known to be friends..letendre road in some of the s ame teams as Robic in the 50s, and also rode for Peugeot during the 58/59/6 0 seasons. The bike looks to be about a 49/50cms size...just correct for Ro bic to get his leg over.

I have been in touch with the seller to question the provenance of the bike .. The reply appears to put any doubt about its origins out of the question. ..and a letter will be provided by the seller who was a friend of Letendre.

I hope to be in Asnieres in a few weeks time..so I might just have a bid on this one !
