Resto-mod, because for whatever reason I can't find half of the stock cra p. So I resto-modded it with all late-70's early-80's hardware.

Mod list:

Suntour Sprint rear derailleur Suntour Cyclone 7000 front derailleur Original chain Tourney 42-52 crank with 170mm arms Original Huret shifters Original GT-1100 5-speed freewheel

Mechanically this bike is pretty sound however the front derailleur will ha ve to be changed because of two things, powdercoating will make the effec tive tube diameter larger and the current derailleur will not fit any more. Also, the current front derailleur has no tab for the gear cable, the frame only has the front tab and not the rear for the bottom-pull cable.

I'll probably have to hit up the Bay for a derailleur, all the ones at th e shop are 28.6 I think this frame is a 30-ish. This one is a 31.8 and I ha d to use a spacer to make it fit.

So what's left for this bike? Tires most likely, rim truing, and bar wr ap, and new brake hoods, then it's off to the powdercoat shop for the C iocc treatment :)
