Hi CR folks,

Over the next few days, some cool vintage/modern items are coming it and thought folks might be interested as we can take orders and ship next week. As in incentive to CR members, place any order over $150 and we'll include free shipping to the lower 48!

Most exciting, the long-awaited Challenge 27mm clincher has made it to Colorado! For years, the dream has been to get a top quality clincher in a wider width with classic looking sidewalls. The Challenge Paris Robaix fits the bill. On a wide velocity rim, it is more like 29mm when it stretches, but should be closer to 27mm on a typical rim. I've ridden a pair that was aired in a couple of weeks ago (before the big shipment arrived in the US), and the tire is extremely nice. Has the look of a classic tubular, but is a wide clincher. I can't wait to get a pair on my early 70's Cinelli. The tire is very lightweight - just around 250g, although my scale isn't super accurate so don't hold us to it. These tires are $79.99 each. The quality looks really nice on these. The beads on them can be mighty tight, but they do stretch. And if you use the Velocity rims with the deep beed seats the fit is very nice.

Secondly, Stronglight A9 Headsets! We think these are no longer made with the needle bearings, not sure, but these are older stock that are the classic. The ones we have are black and in addition to "Stronglight" on the top nut, they also say "Paramount". So if you have a Paramount, or a Waterford, these are double cool. If you don't, than you'd think Paramount is a model name or something and nobody will thing twice about it. These headsets are offered at $ 44 each.

The Third item for today is Regina Record S Nickel chain. These chains fit wide 5 or 6sp freewheels and are simply gorgeous. Perfect for that late 70's or 80's Super Record bike. These chains are offered at $78 each.

Please also look at our website http://www.ReneHerseBicycles.com and go to the product pages - you can use other stuff off our website (which we updated last week) to purchase in order to hit the $150 free shipping.

Thanks for looking!
